Introduction[]
Bradoch was a large nation located on Minerva from 7 until 237 ERB. The nation had grown rapidly, quickly becoming the worlds most populous nation. By 235, the nation had 72,000,000 people living within national borders, out of an approximate 512,000,000 people on Minerva. The nation was completely dissolved following a military invasion by the Asinican Republic in 237 in response to Bradoch's invasion of nearly half of Minerva. A state on Halsey, where the vast majority of Minervan residents immigrated to, is named after the nation.
History[]
Bradoch was first formed in 237, from the first few colony ships that landed on Minerva. With 7,000,000 residents, Bradoch had one of the largest groups of residents immediately following the landing in Minerva, and in the Irabian System. Bradoch was able to build infrastructure with surprising speed, quickly building its capital at Frelich. A strict authoritarian government was established by a few powerful individuals, who led the nation with an iron fist.
In 78 ERB, the majority of Minervan nations had established connections to the nations of Wintermoor. Bradoch, only allowed authorized individuals to access Wintermoorian data banks, out of fear that an uprising would take place once the true nature of Bradochian government became known.
Bradoch War[]
In 235, Bradoch began a devastating military campaign, quickly overrunning bordering nations. Of the 62 nations that existed on Minerva at the time, 20 were captured by the end of the year. One nation, Bevella, was a well known tourist hotspot and had seen Wintermoorian tourists since around 234. When Bevella fell, many of these tourists were rounded up and shot.
By 237, nearly half of all Minerva was under Bradochian occupation, and in total there were nearly 670,000,000 people within the newly drawn borders. Just as Bradochian military was preparing to invade Cavenne, A massive Asinican fleet warped in orbit of Frelich, and swiftly began bombarding the capital city. Within a matter of months, all the land Bradoch had acquired was returned, and Bradoch was being invaded from all sides by Wintermoorian and Minervan forces. Bradoch, being unable to halt the invasion from all sides, eventually capitulated in late 237.
Territories formerly under the control of Bradoch were split among bordering nations, and a small portion was controlled by Imeren. The national identity never left the individuals, which often led to tensions in the respective nations that controlled former Bradochian territories.
